3DReid

3DReid is an architecture, interior design and masterplanning practice of more than 120 people working from five UK studios in Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Manchester. The site does not name one studio as headquarters or give a founding year. It says its aviation and rail design experience goes back more than 25 years and its business aviation terminal work more than 20, and it lists FBO and airport work in Brazil, the US, Gibraltar, Antigua, the Maldives and Abu Dhabi. Paul Green is director and head of aviation and rail.

Its aviation brochure leads with terminals and FBOs. Farnborough Airport, designed for TAG, combined terminal, hangars and a 35-meter control tower. For Signature Flight Support at London Luton it designed a standalone facility with a 2,400 square meter VIP terminal and a 5,000 square meter hangar sized for two BBJs, meant as a model Signature could repeat elsewhere. At Jersey Airport its 10.5 million pound scheme for Gama Aviation pairs a 64,000 sq ft hangar with an FBO and the island's air ambulance base. It also won a US competition for a combined FBO, hangar, events and military building.

Beyond buildings, the practice designs FBO lounges and interiors and has produced interior strategy guidelines and canopy and arrivals concepts for Signature at Luton. US buyers should note that its built FBO work is concentrated in the UK and Gibraltar; the US competition client is unnamed, and the site does not say whether that building went ahead. It was also shortlisted in an FBO terminal competition in India. Fees are not published, and contact is through its UK studios.
