ADB SAFEGATE

ADB SAFEGATE has its global headquarters and factory in Machelen, Belgium, where it says research and development, manufacturing and corporate management now sit together. The company reports more than 1,700 employees and equipment at more than 3,000 airports in over 175 countries, and traces its lighting and docking work back to the 1920s, citing more than 100 years of combined history. In the US it lists ADB Safegate Americas, LLC in Gahanna, Ohio, and an ADB Safegate Weather office in Sacramento, California. Its site does not describe its ownership.

The airfield catalog covers AXON LED runway and taxiway fixtures, including edge, threshold, centerline, touchdown-zone and stop-bar lights in FAA L-850 and L-852 types, runway guard lights, one- and two-box halogen PAPIs (L-880/L-881), AGSF-L LED guidance signs to FAA specification, the A704 solar medium-intensity runway light, and categories for heliport lighting, obstruction lights and beacons, wind indicators, power equipment, transformers and cable. Its RCE radio controller (L-854) provides unattended air-to-ground radio control of airport lighting, programmable across 118.0 to 136.0 MHz and powered by AC or 12 to 48 V DC.

Control options run from the ACE3 control and monitoring unit, which works standalone or with an L-890 airport lighting control and monitoring system, to CORTEX Surface, which the company pitches as giving smaller airports a real-time picture of ground movements. Most of the catalog is aimed at commercial airports, and the company also sells docking, gate and tower systems that fall outside this category. Pricing is not published; quotes come through its request-a-quote and sales-contact pages.
