AERO Specialties

AERO Specialties, at 11175 W. Emerald Street in Boise, Idaho, is a member of the ALVEST Group and describes itself as a GSE manufacturer and distributor serving corporate, FBO, MRO, military, airline and general-aviation customers — it designs and builds towbars, oxygen and nitrogen carts, hydraulic power units, JetGo ground power units, lavatory and water carts and maintenance stands, and distributes TLD, Powervamp, Clyde Machines, Iron Tire and David Clark. Its contact page says "since 1988"; the about page says more than 40 years.

In deicing it does not make or currently list a deicer unit — the "Deicers & Anti-Icers" and "Used Deicers" pages are empty — but it is one of the few places an FBO can buy the fluid and the test gear from one catalog: Dow UCAR PG Type I (55-gal drum, 230-gal tote) and UCAR AD-49 Type IV (230-gal tote) on quote, six GPI flow meters, MISCO Palm Abbe digital refractometers with Brix, PG and EG Type I scales (about $900–$1,130), a Type I nozzle for small deicers and ground reels ($348), a 4-gallon backpack Type IV sprayer ($386), boot sealant and the David Clark 9900 wireless intercom series. It also resells the Aerotech Herman Nelson BT-400 NEX-D ramp heater. Boise repair facility, on-site service, Sourcewell and GSA contracts, ISO 9001 and 14001.
