ARGUS International

ARGUS International, Inc. was founded in 1995 as Aviation Research Group/US and is an SGS company; SGS bought a majority stake in 2019 and the business now operates as SGS ARGUS. It provides aviation safety audits, ratings, software, training and regulatory certification support to operators, brokers, MROs, ground handlers and FBOs.

For FBOs the key offering is the Base Operations Audit, which the company describes as an audit and rating program to reduce ground incidents and aircraft damage. It reviews ground-handling safety, customer-service quality and FBO processes and procedures, and a Base Operations Registry sits in the company's Registries & Ratings section. ARGUS also lists an IS-BAH Audit and a Ground Operations & Service Providers audit, along with SMS assessments. On the software side, PRISM supports safety management systems and TRAQPak FBO is a web-based flight-tracking portal.

ARGUS does not publish rating tiers, the audit standard or pricing for the Base Operations Audit; FBOs contact an ARGUS representative through the site. The company also runs ARGUS Auditor Training and SMS courses.
