Avlite Systems

Avlite Systems is a subsidiary of Sealite Pty Ltd, a maker of aids to navigation, and has been part of SPX Technologies since SPX completed its purchase of all of Sealite's share capital in April 2021. Its head office is in Somerville, Victoria, Australia, and Americas customers are served from Tilton, New Hampshire. At the time of the sale Sealite reported about 150 employees in Australia, Singapore, Colombia, the UK and the US. Avlite designs and manufactures in purpose-built facilities with in-house electronics assembly, injection molding and toolmaking.

Its lighting is built for permanent and temporary fields, including remote strips without grid power. Solar fixtures include the AV-70 VFR runway light and AV-70-863 taxiway light, the A704 and AV-426 solar medium-intensity runway lights, the AV-ERGL elevated runway guard light, A704-VL helipad and taxiway lights and an illuminated wind indicator. It also offers a Series 3 LED PAPI, REILs, approach lighting, beacons and obstruction lights. Control options include the AV-PALC pilot-activated lighting controller, the AV-ALS-RC handheld radio controller with up to 16 light groups, a universal gateway and the LCAMS control and monitoring system.

Avlite sells through distributors as well as directly, and its site carries a solar calculator, webinars, case studies, brochures and white papers. It also builds the AV-HMALS high-mobility airfield lighting system for military expeditionary use. Pricing is not published; quotes come through its get-a-quote form. Flight Light, also listed in this category, resells several Avlite solar fixtures in the US. Its case studies include restoring airfield lighting at Spangdahlem Air Base after a power outage and a solar portable lighting system for the Royal Moroccan Air Force.
