Best Tugs

Best Aviation Products, branded BESTTUGS, designs and sells electric aircraft tugs from 252 West 3560 North in Spanish Fork, Utah. The company was founded in 2016 as a Patey family project when Mark Patey and his sons designed a tug for his wife; twins Mike and Mark Patey, both pilots with speed and STOL records, lead the brand. It reports coverage in Sport Aviation and Twin & Turbine.

The tug line runs from the Alpha dragger tug (up to 3,600 lbs) through the Bravo loader, Romeo remote-control and Echo ride-on tugs (each up to 18,000 lbs) to the Sierra commercial tug (up to 99,000 lbs). PAPA is a remote-controlled helicopter landing pad and tug for tight hangars. Tugs use torque control and plane-specific software, and options include a lazy susan, EZ Load, high lift, jump-start and an onboard air compressor. The company also sells attachments, used tugs, Best Power JumpStart GPU units and floor scrubbers.

BESTTUGS does not publish prices; buyers request a quote from the sales team, and a trade-in program applies when moving up to a larger tug. Manuals, warranty terms and how-to videos are posted on the site. The company does not name FBO customers or a dealer network.
