Central Florida Business Aviation Association

The Central Florida Business Aviation Association (CFBAA) was founded in 2019 and describes its territory as Central and North Florida. It presents itself as a networking, education and advocacy platform for flight departments, general aviation businesses and people pursuing business aviation careers, and as a unified voice on issues that affect its members. Officers for the current term are David Keys of Peace River Citrus Products (president), William Syverson of Embraer Executive Aircraft (vice president), Letisha Sailor of AvTax Advisors (treasurer) and Jenny Showalter (secretary). The board includes Leonel Rivera of Sheltair Aviation along with representatives of Oshkosh AeroTech, CE Avionics, L3Harris and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

For an FBO or vendor in the Orlando and Sanford area, the calendar is the draw. CFBAA runs monthly networking happy hours that alternate between Orlando and Sanford, and its Third Annual CFBAA Golf Classic is set for October 29, 2026. A safety committee organizes an annual Safety Standdown, a full day of sessions on risk management, human factors and emergency procedures, along with speaker events, facility tours and safety articles in the newsletter. Other committees cover legislative issues, membership, young professionals (YoPro) and aerospace. The association also runs a job board and a members-only directory.

Scholarships are a large part of the program. For 2026 CFBAA listed five $2,000 awards (incoming college, undergraduate, graduate, YoPro career development and professional development), the one-time $5,000 Kinsella Award for students from Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte or Lee County, and a CAE ATP-CTP course scholarship, with a May 4, 2026 deadline. The site does not publish membership dues or a street address; joining and renewal run through its StarChapter member portal, and golf sponsorship packages are listed on a separate page.
