Falcon Insurance Agency was established on March 27, 1979 by John Allen and Tom Bradshaw and lists its headquarters at Water Street in Kerrville, Texas. It works only in aviation and describes itself as one of the country's largest aviation insurance agencies. It runs nine offices, in Kerrville, Austin, Dallas and Houston, Texas; Lakeland, Florida; Scottsdale, Arizona; Soldotna, Alaska; St. Peters, Missouri; and Upland, California, and is licensed in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. For 2020 it reported 17,459 hulls insured and $210 million in claims managed.

Fixed base operators and fuelers have their own section of Falcon's specialty page, which says the agency insures many FBOs and fuelers nationwide and names liability, hangar and workers' compensation among the coverages it arranges. The same page covers repair, maintenance and avionics shops, aviation product manufacturers, drop zones and drone operators. On the aircraft side Falcon places personal, business and commercial, rotor-wing, seaplane, agricultural and warbird policies, and it also offers aviation professional services liability, non-owned liability and pilot life insurance.

Falcon says it has working relationships with all the major aviation insurance markets and direct access to their quoting systems for quoting, binding and servicing. Quotes start from a form on its site or a call to the nearest office, and the contact form lets buyers pick which of the nine offices handles the account. Falcon does not publish premiums. It says it can handle accounts from single-engine aircraft up to major airports.
