Flight Schedule Pro

Flight Schedule Pro was started by Nick Wegner and Jasen Barnes, who set out to let students book flight training online and, by the company's account, began with $100 and a local programmer named Jim Lenox. Its offices are in Overland Park, Kansas, near Kansas City, and the site footer now reads Flight Schedule Pro by Pilotbase, the flight-ops and safety platform for flight schools. The homepage says more than 1,300 universities, flight schools and pilot training centers use it, while other pages say 1,100, so the safe reading is more than 1,100. The site does not give a founding year.

The platform is sold as hubs. Scheduling covers unlimited users, drag-and-drop booking of aircraft, instructors and rooms, self-dispatch or front-desk dispatch, squawk reporting and maintenance reminders. Billing handles online payments, invoices, special rates, memberships and QuickBooks Online sync; Training adds unlimited courses, Part 141 and 61 recordkeeping and an iOS app for offline grading; Maintenance adds digital work orders and logbook entries; and Reporting Hub Basic comes with any hub. A marketplace adds student financing through Sallie Mae and Edly, ground school content and aircraft leasing, and a developer API is published.

Flight Schedule Pro's menus name career pilot training centers, colleges and universities, flight schools and flying clubs, not FBOs, so it fits an FBO whose rental and training operation runs like a flight school rather than the fuel and front-desk side. Pricing is quoted: the all-in-one Suite is described as per-aircraft pricing and Reporting Hub Advanced is custom-quoted, but no dollar figures are published. Case studies name Beverly Flight Center, US Aviation Academy and Moody Aviation.
