Ground Support Specialists

Ground Support Specialists, at 6228 Hurt Road in Horn Lake, Mississippi (Memphis area), builds what it calls a quality, American-made product for virtually all major airlines, general aviation and the military, sold direct and through GSA contract GS-30F-038BA; its past-performance list runs from the US Coast Guard and Navy to FedEx, American, Delta, Southwest and World Fuel Services.

Two units are framed for FBOs. The Falcon 320 is a towable trailer "specifically designed for FBOs and regional jets": 300 gallons of Type I (configurable for Type II or anti-ice), 12–20 gpm at 150 psi, a 12-V Mini-Max heater with 15-minute pre-heat, Kohler diesel, 11.5-ft working height (14.7-ft optional) on a 13.5-ft frame. The Hawk 800 is a custom-chassis truck "for narrow-body and regional jets, FBOs and the private sector": 600 gallons deice + 200 anti-ice, an 800,000–980,000-BTU heater (the page gives both), 32-ft working height, Perkins diesel, hydrostatic drive, optional enclosed basket and forced air. Above them sit the Osprey 1400 (1,200 + 200 gal, enclosed basket, 400-CFM forced air) and Raptor 2000 (1,600 + 400 gal, 1.6-million BTU, 44.5-ft). GSS also factory-certifies new and pre-owned units from a light PM to a zero-time re-life (used Trump 2000 II deicers listed), builds belt loaders, cabin-service and lavatory vehicles, tractors, the GS150S engine-wash cart and double-wall storage tanks, and offers virtual and on-site tech support.
