Hali-Brite

Hali-Brite, Inc. operates a 24,000 square foot manufacturing plant in Brainerd, Minnesota. It started in 1979 refurbishing DCB-36 and DCB-224 rotating beacons, then developed and patented its own beacon illumination and drive design, and it still refurbishes the older units. It cites more than 40 years in business and names Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Chicago O'Hare and Dallas/Fort Worth among the airports it has supplied. The site says it has completed ICAO certification, and it lists charities it supports, including a school program in Haiti.

Its lineup centers on equipment almost every lighted GA field needs. Beacons include L-801A(L) and L-802A(L) LED airport beacons, metal-halide HBM models, an L-801H(L) LED heliport beacon, an L-802M military beacon and refurbished 36-inch units; each beacon runs on and off for four hours over two days before shipping. L-806 and L-807 wind cones come lighted or unlighted, with light kits, solar-powered versions and FAA-certified replacement socks in 18-inch and 36-inch sizes. It also makes center-hinged tipdown and tubular basket beacon towers, segmented circles, runway closure markers, solar and 6.6-amp obstruction lights, and heliport and vertiport lighting.

Orders go through a downloadable order form returned by mail, fax or email, or by phone during weekday business hours; the company accepts major credit cards and ships worldwide. It rents LED portable runway closure markers by the month for construction projects. Prices are not published.
