ITW GSE

ITW GSE is a ground power equipment manufacturer with a Danish entity, ITW GSE ApS in Odense, and a US entity, ITW GSE Inc., in Palmetto, Florida. The company says it has built ground power units since the late 1940s and has also traded as AXA Power, Hobart, Houchin and ITW GSE Military. It reports more than 90,000 units delivered to customers in over 100 countries.

The range covers 400 Hz, 28 VDC and combined power in solid-state, battery-powered and diesel versions. For business aviation, the 7400 JetEx 28 VDC eGPU is a battery unit rated 600 A continuous with 2,000 A engine-start capability and up to 100 starts per charge. Its datasheet lists the Cessna Citation, Beechjet, Gulfstream G250 and Dassault Falcon among compatible aircraft. The 1400 GPU is a solid-state 28 VDC unit for smaller aircraft and helicopters.

Because the JetEx is battery-powered, it produces no exhaust and can run in hangars; it charges from a standard 50/60 Hz socket and can charge while powering an aircraft. ITW GSE also offers a Power by the Hour subscription for battery eGPUs and exhibits at NBAA-BACE. It does not publish prices, and its site does not single out FBOs as a customer segment.
