Lamp Design + Build is an architect-led design-build firm based in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, with Covington and Gulfport also listed as locations. Matthew Lamp, a 2005 LSU graduate, founded Lamp Design Build, LLC in 2006 and serves as president; Melvin E. Lamp is the firm's architect, licensed in Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida. The firm works mostly across the Northshore, Greater New Orleans, Baton Rouge, the Mississippi Gulf Coast and the Florida Panhandle, runs commercial and residential construction alongside architecture, and says airport work has run in the Lamp family for three generations.

Its aviation page offers FBO and executive terminal design-build; corporate, box and T-hangars, MRO buildings and pre-engineered metal buildings; GA terminals and municipal airport landside buildings; and support structures such as utility plants, fuel-farm support and standby power. Matthew and Melvin Lamp report more than 300 combined pilot hours and visits to over 100 regional airports and FBOs, and consultant Joe Vicknair is a career pilot who flies a Challenger 300. The named airport projects are all at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International from 2010 to 2016: a $2.8 million central utility plant, a US Airways relocation, a Concourse C renovation, a JetBlue buildout and a Dooky Chase's concession.

The firm's construction side lists metal buildings and warehouses, value engineering and cost control, the services closest to hangar budgets. One caveat for FBO buyers: the site does not name a completed FBO terminal or hangar project, so its FBO experience rests on the design team's flying background and its occupied-terminal work at MSY. Its portfolio page currently shows an office building and a church in the Hammond area.
