Nice | HySecurity

Nice | HySecurity is the gate and barrier division of Nice North America. The Nice brand covers residential and commercial gate operators, while HySecurity covers industrial gate operators and crash-rated hostile vehicle mitigation barriers. Its About page places Nice North America's headquarters and the HySecurity manufacturing plant in Kent, Washington, about 20 minutes south of Seattle, with additional warehouse and manufacturing sites in Phoenix, Chicago and Montreal. The site does not state when HySecurity was founded.

The product line includes hydraulic and electromechanical slide gate operators such as SlideDriver, SlideDriver II and SlideSmart HD, swing operators such as HydraSwing and SwingRiser, and traffic-control products including an M30/M50-rated crash barrier arm. Its airport article argues that perimeter gates once closed with chains and padlocks should be automated, and says the operators can send alerts when a gate is forced, when a vehicle sits on a loop for more than 10 minutes, or when service is due. Project spotlights describe an Arizona airport that chose a SlideDriver 30F, running at 1.7 feet per second, for an entrance next to active runways, and an aviation facility using SlideSmart HD.

HySecurity sells through dealers and sales representatives found on its site, and a Specification Support Team helps engineers write gate specifications and publishes a monthly newsletter. It does not publish pricing. Product manuals, spec sheets, technical bulletins and software updates are posted in a support center, and a product selector narrows operators by gate type. Its airport article recommends adding automated, crash-rated barrier arms to existing gates wherever a vulnerable access point needs more protection.
