Norco Manufacturing

Norco Manufacturing was established in Racine, Wisconsin, in 1962 and now lists its address in Franksville, Wisconsin. It says its primary focus is custom-engineered aviation hangar door systems for corporate, commercial and military hangars, with the same doors adapted for industrial plants, marinas and dry docks. Its project portfolio is organized by sector and names MRO, FBO, corporate, military, marine, commercial and private hangars, and the company describes itself as internationally known for hangar door construction.

Norco's doors are bottom-rolling panel systems. Its Northern and Southern Bi-Parting doors are the most popular: a northern stack keeps the bottom rails inside when closed and stacks panels inside the hangar, suited to snow and ice, while a southern stack leaves part of the rail outside and stacks panels outside. It also builds One-Way doors for asymmetrical openings, Floating doors whose panels can stack where needed, and a 90-degree system that parks each panel along the interior sidewalls. Its Universal Hangar Door System includes the upper guide beams, bottom rails and anchors, neoprene seals and electrical operating system.

Panels can be clad with rib or foam panels, flat sheet, plywood or translucent plastics, with personnel doors and windows built in. Norco sells 12 models of electric door wheelers that mount to existing doors and says they can cut heating bills 15 to 20 percent; one model is explosion-proof to 18 inches above the floor to meet the electrical code for hangars. It describes itself as a leader in retrofitting new doors onto existing hangar structures. It does not publish pricing.
