Point Lighting Corporation

Point Lighting Corporation was founded in 1993 by a group of airfield lighting professionals and manufactures in two joined buildings totaling 48,000 square feet in Bloomfield, Connecticut, north of Hartford, with a postal address in Simsbury. It describes itself as an FAA-certified lighting manufacturer, ISO 9001:2015 registered, ETL, UL, ABS, IECEx and ATEX listed, ARRA and Made in USA qualified, and a certified builder of industrial control panels. It says it exports 60 percent of its sales and sells through electrical distributors and domestic and international representatives.

For FBOs and GA airports the relevant products are heliport lighting and wind cones. The heliport line covers inset and elevated perimeter lights, surface floodlights, approach guidance, heliport controls and backup systems for ground-level, rooftop and hospital heliports, plus marine helideck and vertiport lighting. Its wind cones come as frangible L-806 and rigid hinge-based L-807 models with 8-foot by 18-inch socks, in externally lighted, internally lighted, solar-powered, fiberglass-pole and wall-mounted versions. Obstruction lights, beacons and controls cover towers, wind turbines, tall buildings and industrial sites, with solar and hazardous-area options.
