Polar Aircraft Deicer

Polar Aircraft Deicer, at 137 2e Rang in Deschambault, Quebec, says its mission is deicing equipment sized for FBOs, small-to-regional airports and their operators, with more than 30 years of experience and units designed and manufactured entirely in Canada. Sales are direct (purchase, rental or rental-purchase) and it states it can deliver worldwide; no US dealer is named.

The Arctic Cub is the GA unit — 264 gallons of Type I, 16-ft working height on a pickup, a John Bean spray gun, aimed at King Air 350, PC-12, Citation and Learjet 60 traffic — with an underwing/landing-gear variant. The Arctic Fox is the towable step up: an 18-ft trailer any airport pickup can pull with 500 gallons of Type I and 160 of Type III/IV in stainless tanks, a 34-ft working-height basket with 27-ft side reach, 15-kW generator, diesel burner to 180 °F and a 30-gpm pump, rated for 737, CRJ, Dash 8 and ATR 42. The Arctic Wolf puts 660 + 264 gallons on a Ford F-550 with a 36-ft basket (42-ft optional), and the Caribou is a self-propelled single-operator unit with a Hatz 75-hp diesel, two 2-million-BTU burners, 528 + 264 gallons and a 34-ft boom. The Snowy Owl site says the Caribou is built by Cam Concept Inc. in St-Raymond; Polar's own pages don't mention it.
