About Rampmaster
Rampmaster is the refueler brand of General Transervice, Inc. (GTI), which Robert Watkins, a Vietnam-era Army veteran, founded in 1968 as a refueler maintenance company at Philadelphia Airport. GTI developed the Rampmaster modular refueler in 1974, separating the truck from the tank to simplify maintenance, and put its first prototype into service in 1979. The only address on the site is in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Rampmaster's history page records that ATL Partners acquired SkyMark and Rampmaster on January 7, 2026, and says the production line has sold out every year since 1981. No executives are named on the pages checked.
The current range is 3,000-, 5,000-, 7,000-, 10,000-, 15,000- and 17,500-gallon refuelers, exchange-module versions (5K and 7K RJ Exchange, 10K WD Exchange) and a hydrant vehicle. The 3,000-gallon spec sheet describes a Freightliner M-2 with a Cummins diesel and Allison automatic, a 300-gpm Gorman-Rupp pump, electronic register and water detection, two underwing hoses and one overwing hose, and a ten-year leak guarantee on the tank. GTI says it adapted its straight-truck design for GA and FBO units in 1988 and built a custom 5,000-gallon FBO truck in 2005. Its 5,000-gallon E-lectric unit, shown at NBAA-BACE 2023, went to Signature Aviation at Eagle County Regional Airport in 2024.
Rampmaster says it serves commercial and FBO clients in the US and abroad, and its customer logos include Atlantic Aviation, Signature, Million Air, Jet Aviation, Sheltair and Avfuel. Its patented Engine Management (Flow Control) System is claimed to cut fuel use by up to 43 percent, a company figure. The site describes leases of up to 11 years; it does not publish prices and quotes through a request form. No avgas refueler appears in the current range.
