TowFLEXX

TowFLEXX GmbH is headquartered in Visbek, Germany, where management, R&D, production and assembly are located. The product began as the 'SchleppMAXXE', a small electric tug an executive, Hanns Schickling, built to move his own aircraft out of a hangar; demand led to a product family, and Axel Schickling has managed the company since 2019. TowFLEXX Inc. in New Castle, Delaware handles US sales, service and production and keeps units in stock for the USA, Canada and South America. A sales and service center operates in Buochs, Switzerland, and a sales office in New Zealand.

All eight models are electric towbarless tugs. The TF1 and TF2 are manual units for aircraft up to 2,000 kg and 4,000 kg, the TF2.2 handles Robinson helicopters, and the remote-controlled TF3, TF4, TF5 Essential, TF5 and TF6 cover 9,000 kg, 14,000 kg, 30,000 kg, 60,000 kg and 90,000 kg. Example aircraft include the Piper PA32, Pilatus PC-12 and PC-24, Gulfstream III and IV and Bombardier Global 6000. Battery runtime at full load is stated as roughly 3 km to 8 km depending on model.
