TYMETAL Corp. says it was founded in 1985 and manufactures perimeter security gates, crash barriers and correctional gate systems, all made in the USA. Its About page names Greenwich, New York as its primary location and lists a second facility in Pearland, Texas; all shipping starts from those two plants, and common sizes of its Fortress aluminum cantilever slide gates are stocked in a Fort Dodge, Iowa warehouse. The same page describes its staff as associates of Fort Miller, which offers an employee stock ownership plan. Alongside gates, the company sells custom fabrication work such as laser and plasma cutting, robotic welding and industrial coating.

Airports are one of nine markets TYMETAL lists. For airfields it makes crash-rated cantilever slide and vertical lift gate systems, crash-rated barrier arms, fencing and bollards, plus a Box Frame Roller Gate system rated to span openings up to 500 feet, aimed at runway-width crossings. A company article on airport service roads says its crash-rated cantilever gates are tested to ASTM F2656 and U.S. Department of State standards at K4 and K12, and argues that a trackless cantilever design suits service roads where debris and ice collect.
