Unitron Power Systems

Unitron Power Systems designs and manufactures solid-state aircraft ground power equipment from a 40,000 sq ft facility at 10925 Miller Road in Dallas, Texas, where engineering, sales, administration and manufacturing share one building. The company says it has been a key supplier since 1960 and a pioneer of solid-state ground power for more than 60 years. Its FoxCart product line is built and shipped from the same Dallas site.

The catalog includes 28 VDC ground power units, 400 Hz frequency converters, 270 VDC supplies, combined 400 Hz and 28 VDC units, FoxAir portable HVAC units, cable handling and accessories. The 28 VDC units list business aircraft, turboprops, regional aircraft and helicopters among applications, and are available as mobile, towable, fixed and bridge-mounted units. Output current is adjustable from 150 A to full rated current, with soft-start limiting for engine starts.

For a ramp or hangar, the mobile and towable 28 VDC units are the relevant formats; fixed versions suit dedicated hangar bays. Unitron lists general aviation among its markets and states ISO 9001:2015 certification and a typical 24-hour service-call response. It does not publish prices, and its site does not mention FBOs by name.
