Aircraft Electronics Association

The Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) is a trade association headquartered at 3570 NE Ralph Powell Road in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Founded in 1957, it has nearly 1,300 member companies in more than 40 countries, including approved maintenance organizations that maintain and install aircraft electronics in general aviation aircraft, avionics and instrument manufacturers, instrument repair facilities, airframe and test equipment makers, major distributors and schools. Its stated mission is to educate, communicate and advocate for businesses that make, support and install flight technologies.

The AEA International Convention & Trade Show is its main event. The 2027 show, in Savannah, Georgia, lists more than 130 exhibiting companies and more than 1,700 attendees and exhibitors combined; AEA says nearly nine in ten exhibitors return each year and attendees come from more than 25 countries. The AEA also holds regional meetings for Canada, Central, East, Europe, South Pacific and West, along with industry forums and webinars.

Exhibitors apply through an exhibitor prospectus and contract published for each convention, supported by an exhibitor FAQ and a guide to deciding whether to exhibit; booth prices are not posted on the convention page. The audience is avionics professionals, meaning equipment makers, distributors and maintenance organizations, which suits vendors selling avionics products and services.
