Aviation Personnel International

Aviation Personnel International (API) is a woman-owned and operated recruiting firm with an office on Bull Street in Savannah, Georgia. It states that it has served business aviation and private aviation since 1971 and calls itself the longest-running recruiting firm in that segment. Its specialty is Part 91 flight departments.

API's core service is talent identification: a six-stage search that starts with on-site meetings to define the role and ends with an online slate of vetted candidates, client interviews and a debrief. The roles it references include pilots, chief pilots, flight engineers, aircraft maintenance technicians, schedulers, dispatchers and directors of aviation. It also offers compensation consulting, outplacement support and API WorkWell, an organizational health assessment, and lets candidates register for access to unadvertised openings.

API does not name FBOs or line service as a market and does not publish fees. It is most relevant to an FBO that runs or supports a corporate flight department, or that needs to hire a maintenance or flight operations leader from the business aviation talent pool.
