About National Air Transportation Association

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA), headquartered at 1401 I Street NW in Washington, DC, is the trade association for general aviation service companies. It was formed at an organizational meeting in Kansas City, Missouri, in December 1940 as the National Aviation Training Association with 83 member companies. NATA reports nearly 3,700 members offering fueling, ground support, passenger and crew services, charter, maintenance, parts sales, flight training and fleet management, and represents them on federal legislative and regulatory matters.

NATA's events are built for FBO and aviation-business operators. The Aviation Business Conference, typically held each fall, draws executives from FBOs, airports, charter operators, MROs and advanced air mobility companies. The FBO Success & Management Seminar serves FBO owners and general managers, while the Certified Line Service Manager Workshop and Certified FBO Professional Seminar cover ramp management and frontline service. The Ground Handling Safety Symposium, Certified QC Inspector Workshop and Certified Aircraft Deicing Workshop cover ramp safety, fuel quality and winter operations.

Safety 1st is NATA's training program rather than a conference; NATA says it has led ground handling training for more than 30 years. Vendors reach this audience through sponsorship packages that include attendee-list access, speaking opportunities and logo placement. NATA's sponsorship page does not describe exhibit space, and NATA does not publish event attendance figures.
