National Business Aviation Association

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) is a not-for-profit trade association headquartered at 1200 G Street NW in Washington, DC. It began in 1946 as the Corporation Aircraft Owners Association, was established as a permanent not-for-profit in February 1947, became the National Business Aircraft Association in 1953 and took its present name in 1997. NBAA says it serves about 11,000 member companies and works to create an environment in which business aviation can succeed in the United States and internationally.

NBAA's flagship is the Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), held each October and called by NBAA the world's largest civil aviation trade show. The host city rotates, with Las Vegas and New Orleans announced, and aircraft are displayed at Henderson Executive Airport. Smaller shows include the Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference, the Maintenance Conference, the International Operators Conference and regional forums in Miami-Opa locka, Dallas-Fort Worth and the New York area, which list 100 to more than 150 exhibits each. NBAA publishes no attendee or exhibitor total for BACE.
