Strom Aviation

Strom Aviation describes itself as one of the first aviation recruiting firms in the world, with more than 30 years of aviation staffing experience. It began as a small operation in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and its site lists two offices today: one in Waconia, Minnesota, labeled the Minneapolis office, and one in Fort Worth, Texas. President Daniel Wrolson heads the leadership team listed on the About page.

Strom supplies FAA-certified A&P mechanics, structural sheetmetal, avionics and electrical technicians, aerospace engineers, VIP interior installers, cabinet makers, upholsterers, painters and inspectors. Its employer services page names completion centers, MROs, FBOs, OEMs, airline services and helicopter and military programs as the facilities it staffs. Placed contractors are independent contractors paid through Strom, which handles time collection, payroll taxes, compliance checks and background checks, and says it carries liability and workers' compensation coverage.

Employers choose a percentage markup, set bill rates or an individualized rate schedule, and Strom does not publish its rates or client names. The site runs a searchable board of open contract assignments, plus programs for entry-level mechanics, veterans and international technicians. Employers contact the firm by email to request staff.
