U-Fuel

U-Fuel, incorporated in 1987 with a mailing address in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, designs and builds fuel storage and dispensing systems and holds more than 20 patents. The company says it began by designing and operating aviation fuel stations at US airports, and has owned airport facilities including a fixed-base operation in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Aviation sits beside fleet, military and industrial lines on its site.

Its aviation range includes enclosed fuel systems flowing 20 to 250 GPM, fuel cabinets for independent islands, remote fuel islands with secondary containment, fire-resistant enclosures and barrel dispensing stations for remote airports. Self-service is handled through an adjacent card reader, or a credit card reader tied to a POS system on the barrel stations, with optional bar code authorization. Each system includes an electronic water-defense system that stops the pump until water is drained, and U-Fuel states ATA 103 compliance. Tank and system monitoring equipment, heaters and optional fire suppression are available.

U-Fuel sells to municipalities, airports, fuel suppliers and small groups, either on or off the airport. The site gives no prices and does not name airport customers, and a request-a-quote form is the route to engage. Because U-Fuel builds the station rather than only the control software, an FBO should treat it as a turnkey self-serve option.
