Vertical Aviation International
Membership association for the vertical aviation industry (formerly Helicopter Association International); organizes VERTICON, the annual rotorcraft trade show, plus air-tour and aerial-work safety conferences.
About Vertical Aviation International
Vertical Aviation International (VAI) describes itself as the world's leading membership association for the vertical aviation industry, providing connection, advocacy, safety, education and support to its members for more than 75 years. It is headquartered on Ballenger Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia, and was known as Helicopter Association International (HAI) until the organization adopted the VAI name.
VAI organizes VERTICON (the show formerly branded HAI HELI-EXPO), the industry's annual rotorcraft trade show and conference — Atlanta in March 2026, Anaheim in March 2027 — along with the VAI Air Tour Safety Conference and VAI Aerial Work Safety Conference, safety programs such as Spotlight on Safety, SMS workshops and the It's OK to STAY campaign, the VAI Online Academy, and a career center. For FBOs, VERTICON is where the helicopter operator, EMS, offshore and utility fleets that fuel at GA airports buy equipment and services.
